I read a story in which existed a magical watch. This watch would, when its powers were called upon, stop time. No matter who controlled the powers of this watch it seemed to bring a curse upon the person that possessed it. Try as they would, time and again their attempts to change the moment consistently failed. Eventually the lesson is learned that time can not be changed. A brief second of time even as we observe it is already gone, nothing we do at that point will change what has been. Our best efforts and often our worst will only serve to effect moments to come. I often wondered what I might do with such a powerful device. If only I had the power to stop time, explore one brief second of time for as long as I desired. Not long after my wondering had begun I realized that this magical device does indeed exist. It is I have come to realize possible to stop time and dwell in an instant whenever a person cares to. What could this device be that has such a power? It is the camera. Using the magic of this marvelous tool, I have stopped the clock. Stilled from the blurred onrush of a never-ending future, I offer you these moments from the past frozen forever within the grains of film or the interwoven electronic bits of a digital image. Within these photographs, moments that have been edited from memory can again be visited.
